There was a couple, let's call them Mike and Kris (because that's us), that loved to travel, support local eateries, breweries, wineries, distilleries, and so on. Basically, we like to eat and drink, let's not try to get poetic or dramatic. Those reading this, know us far better than to pretend anything different. I say all of this in a good way. Our rule has always been, if we can get it at home, we don't get it on the road. There is but one exception to that rule and I am hesitant to say it out loud, but in the interest of full disclosure, I will share it now; if we are driving (as opposed to flying...wink wink, nudge nudge), the one "bad" thing we indulge in is, Burger King's spicy chicken sandwich. Yup, I said it out loud. Now our other little secret is, when stopping for gas, we also indulge in beef jerky, combos, sour cream and onion ruffles, and for something a little sweet, it's miniature Kit Kats.
At this point you must be wondering, why was that last paragraph even important? It's important because, we have decided to take this crazy show on the road. Yes, you read that right. We have sold our house, bought a motorhome and are getting ready to enjoy the local establishments all over our beloved country. Want to know why? Because we can!
We've been talking about doing this very thing for quite awhile now, and the circumstances we now find ourselves in, fit perfectly into our plan, actually better, since Mike is able to retire earlier than anticipated. I know you must have many questions about this decision, and I totally understand. It is my hope that eventually we will be able to answer any questions you may have, but more importantly entertain you with our adventures and stories from the road.
My email is in the contact page, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions, concerns, and information you care to share. I do, however have one big favor, if there is a place that you think we should visit, or some place you would like to go, but can't, please reach out. It's our greatest hope that you share in this adventure with us either virtually or perhaps with a bit of luck, we will be able to meet somewhere along the way.
The closing on our house is set for June 30th. We will keep you posted should anything change. Until then, be well, be happy and live life as big as you can!
