A Fond Farewell....for now.....

Once upon a time, when we first started on this adventure, someone asked if we would just find some cool places and keep going back to those same ones throughout each season. I immediately said "NO". Well apparently, I lied. Each visit to Riverview RV Park in Vidalia, LA just makes us want to come back again and again. Our first visit was extended because we enjoyed it. Our 2nd visit, sheltered us from the storm, this visit was simply because life on the river is awesome and the people that work and run this park are some of the most genuine people we have ever met. It's so special that we have already scheduled our return in the fall.

We had some repair issues to contend with. One was Absolutely MY FAULT. It's a long story, but let's just say that the next time that Mike says "Let me do it", I'm going to do just that. Maybe then I won't bend the crap out of the "Hood - keeper - open - arm". Yes, I know there is a technical term for this but it escapes me at the moment and it was the perfect time to interject some humor.

We also had to fix a sag with our basket. (If only we could fix the "sag" in ourselves this easy...lol). We've put alot of miles on this rig and that basket has seen some shit.... You remember Rapid City, SD right? Thankfully, this was a project that was easily fixed with some redneck sweat and ingenuity. I would normally say "Safety First", but that would also be a lie!

We had a fairly low key visit this time. Here are a few pictures from our visits over to Natchez. Included are Knuckles the cat, and Ann, our new found friend from Natchez. We only left our campground 3 times in the 3 months, but we made it count.

Here are a few of our favorite shots of Stella (aka "Starchild"). I can't begin to think about this adventure without her. She brings more to the table than she knows.

We enjoyed some pool time- (much to Nicholle's dismay- she's from the south and doesn't realize that a 68 degree temp is a good thing...LOL). Read many books, completed multiple puzzles, refinished our cornhole boards and in general continued to live our best life in one of the best places ever. And for those of you from the Keene, NH area the ship you see below has Jillian on it. And if you don't know Jillian, than your life is little less exciting than it could be.

The people here keep you coming back, but what mesmerizes you is the barges, cargo and ships that make their way up and down the Mighty Mississippi.

In closing. I have to say if you have ever read a John Grisham novel, or a Mark Twain novel and you haven't spent any time on the Mississippi than you are cheating yourself from a very nostalgic experience.

We are truly looking forward to our return to this very special spot, but in the meantime we will wish them a fond farewell and until our return....

Be Well, Be Happy and Safe Travels
