They say all good things must come to an end. They also say when one door closes, another opens. Let's face it "they" say a lot of things.
Today "we" are saying "SOLD"! Yup, you read that right! The house is sold, the inspections are done, and the buyer has CASH! The closing is set for August 13th! We are slated to leave our beloved Keene on the 15th.
This has been a long, stressful journey, but the support and love from our family and friends has been all that we needed to fill the well and push us through. And we are grateful for each and everyone of you!
For those who don't know, this house has been a part of Mike's life forever, and a part of mine for 14 years. First it belonged to his grandparents, then his parents, then his, this is what I spoke of when I said "all good things...." And while we are super excited to be hitting the road for new adventures, this leap is bittersweet.
Mike watched hockey with his gram in this house, raised his kids here, worked on many a vehicle in the driveway and played in the backyard with our grandkids. As for me, the first time I stepped foot in this house, I immediately felt at home, even before I lived here. Mike proposed to me here. We were married in the backyard. Of all the places I have lived in my life there are 2 that will always hold a special place in my heart and this is one of them.
We have watched our grand kids get older and come into their own, and while we will miss them and our kids, it's time to close this door and open the next one.
